Reporter Tom Ackerman from Al-Jazeera International contacted SALVI about doing a piece on SALVI, Rusticatio, and the Living Latin movement, and we were able to arrange a visit during Rusticatio Veteranorum this year.  They produced a wonderful piece for their Al-Jazeera English broadcast, which we have uploaded to Tutubium and embedded here (Al-Jazeera has left the U.S. market, though we are told the video should be available in the United States via their English website in September).  The video crew enjoyed their visit, and were apparently quite impressed and charmed by the fact that Rusticatio manages to be both fun and all in Latin at the same time.  One of the cameramen told Nancy Llewellyn, as they were getting ready to leave, “You know, you cover a lot of stories in the course of your career… but I’ve never seen anything like this before!”  Take a look at the video below.  It’s great press for what we like to call “the safest entry to spoken Latin on the planet.”
