Our good friend Prof. Jim “Jacobus” Dobreff of the University of Massachusetts at Boston Classics Department has just made an exceptional last-minute opportunity available to SALVI people who are also precollegiate classroom teachers.  If you are a high school or middle school teacher, an alumnus/a of any Rusticatio or SALVI Biduum, and you wanted to participate in the upcoming UMB/CAM/POLIS Active Greek Institute but decided you couldn’t because the program begins (June 11) before your school year ends, take heart!  Contact Jim personally, tell him SALVI sent you, and he will arrange not only a special adjusted entry date into the program for you but also a discounted price!  If you’re interested in activating your Ancient Greek into something you could actually use in a classroom, this is an opportunity you don’t want to miss. The course will be taught by the extraordinary Christophe Rico, founder and leading light of the POLIS Institute in Jerusalem, who is leading the charge for active Greek in the United States.  For the Active Greek Institute website, click HERE.
