REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED.<\/span><\/span><\/b><br \/><\/big><\/h3>\n<p><b>Biduum Latinum Angelopolitanum<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will take place at the Getty Villa in Malibu, CA, October 13-14, 2018. \u00a0Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 13, and sessions conclude at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 14.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Biduum Latinum Angelopolitanum<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> serves two groups of people: For alumni of Rusticatio or other spoken Latin programs, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Biduum<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will offer a mid-year \u2018fix\u2019 of Latin immersion. For those new to spoken Latin, the weekend will give a taste of Latin immersion, and provide the confidence needed for those planning to attend a week-long workshop in the summer. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Regardless of your level of experience with spoken Latin, plan to come away from <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Biduum Latinum Angelopolitanum<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with living Latin activities you can use in your classroom Monday morning!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Location:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Class sessions will be held at the Getty Villa, 17985 Pacific Coast Highway, Pacific Palisades, CA. Directions, schedule, and parking passes will be sent to participants.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Staff: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This year\u2019s Biduum will be taught by Eduardo Engelsing, assistant professor at Western Washington University, together with RJ Parsons, Keegan Potter, and Jacque Myers. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Eligibility:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> You are eligible to attend this workshop if you have already learned Latin on paper and are interested in developing active command of the spoken language. Please note that <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Biduum<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is not an introductory Latin course and thus it is not for people who have no knowledge of the language. Typically, participants have completed, at a minimum, the equivalent of two years of traditional college Latin or four years of a high school Latin program. It is not necessary to have previous experience speaking Latin.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Cost:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> $135 per person, covering tuition, materials, coffee and pastries both days, and Saturday lunch at the Getty Villa.
